Gremlin, I see you!

We can feed the gremlins our fears and doubts about ourselves and they will continue to wreak havoc in our minds. Dwelling makes them happy and gives them power in the present. Getting angry at them brings gremlins joy. They can consume our time and energy if we allow them to. Acknowledging the gremlins and not feeding them our fear and doubt annoys the crap out of them. They will whine and thrash around in our minds (ie. procrastination) like little disgruntled toddlers (sorry toddlers). Why? Well, because they are disgruntled and lack maturity. They refuse to mature because they love living a lizard brain life. They actually cannot mature and retain their gremlin-lizard form. Looking at them as cutie pies drinking Mr. Pibb while smoking a candy cigarette helps. Recognizing the gremlins in our mind as lizard-brained separates us from them. We have human brains, capable of complex thought and with the ability to classically condition animals…like these gremlin lizards.

So, recognize your gremlins, a type of Baggage, with very low judgment. Use that human brain of yours to slow down, pause, and stop feeding them.

What kind of sign is this gremlin?

  • Is it a sign to stop because you are in mortal danger? (I’d argue, this is probably something more intelligent than a gremlin. Probably a unicorn angel.)

  • Is it a sign that you are about to learn/do something new and your brain just cannot compute the outcome?

What gremlins are you dealing with?
